Welcome
Now that electric drive components are readily available and adequately advanced, it was time to start some projects. Admittedly on a shoestring budget, my plans are to build EVs of various designs and performance levels. Mass manufacturers may outpace me, but it is fun to be designing EVs that are actually at a break-even cost compared to gas fueled vehicles.
After driving the first two projects, it is easy to get spoiled with the simplicity of driving. Simply turn on the key, gas to go, brake to stop. No shifting, no oil changes, no noise, etc. When I bought the Suzuki for the next project, my first reaction was, "This is too much work... constantly shifting gears!"
